Who can be accredited?

Only legal entities, namely companies or organizations, can accredit. The QUALITY INSTITUTE provides accreditation to conformity assessment bodies. These bodies consist of laboratories, certification and inspection bodies, proficiency testing providers and manufacturers of reference materials.

Also organizations responsible for public safety and welfare, such as construction departments, hospitals, schools and also police and firefighting departments, also strive to receive accreditation to demonstrate their competence and reliability.

Accreditation is a way to demonstrate quality and competence. It has a positive impact on authorities, buyers, industry, manufacturers and consumers.

Conformity assessment bodies can be accredited by the QUALITY INSTITUTE if they comply with the requirements of relevant international standards.
